gray hair beauty

GrayhairbeautyWhen I saw this picture in the latest More magazine, I immediately tore it out.  OMG — who said gray hair isn’t beautiful and sexy?

Right now, I have lots of clients who have decided to grow out their gray; let this picture be your inspiration.

It’s not an easy road.  Especially if you’ve been coloring your dark hair for eons — light-haired beauties have it a little easier.  But, once you are there, get some great highlights and make sure your cut is cool and hip.  Nothing will age you more than a bad haircut.

This is a terrific book for getting there and loving it:

I’m so glad to see this! I’ve been gray for a long time and recently we’ve been talking on the blog about whether longer or shorter hair looks younger. I am not close to 50, but I’m afraid short gray hair automatically says 50+.

Anyway, I look forward to looking around your blog more!

    Hi Rebecca and welcome!

I think long and short hair can look equally capitivating on a woman who has gray hair. What makes a woman look ‘old’ is the style of the cut. Gray hair automatically can come across as matronly so a trip to SuperCuts is not going to help. I always tell my clients who are gray to invest their money in getting and maintaining a great haircut — it makes all the difference!
